Workshops

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) encompasses a holistic approach to health and well-being that has been practiced for thousands of years. It is deeply rooted in the philosophy of harmony and balance within the body, mind, and spirit.

To achieve this balance

There are in a number of ways, like acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy, Five Phases Music therapy, Qi gong, and Tai ji. TCM views the body as a complex system where each part is interconnected, and the flow of Qi (vital energy) is essential for good health. In TCM, the emphasis is not only on treating the symptoms of an illness, but also on understanding the underlying patterns of imbalance in the body. By addressing the root causes of disharmony, TCM aims to restore balance and support the body’s natural healing abilities.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is more than just a theoretical framework; it is a way of life that fosters balance, mindfulness, and overall well-being. I am committed to exploring various angles to help you better grasp and incorporate the valuable aspects of TCM into your everyday routine.

Chinese tea workshop

Chinese tea as part of food therapy

Did you know …

  • 茶(Cha/Chinese tea) has dozens of proven and widely-suggested health benefits.
  • 茶道(Cha Dao/tea culture) was born in China and Chinese people rarely drink flavored tea.
  • Cha is one of the seven necessities that are indispensable for daily life (firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea). Why is that?
  • Cha is only made of Camellia Sinensis and it is categorized by color: white, green, yellow, dark green, red, and black.

Our workshop focuses on exploring the world of tea processing and the health benefits of different types of tea, using the ancient “Four Qi” theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a guide. You will learn how to choose the right tea for each season, improve specific health issues, and enhance your mood. Embrace the art of tea for overall well-being and a fulfilling sensory experience. Come join us on this aromatic journey!

A taste of Chinese culture

There is no better way to uncover the profound health wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine than by gaining an understanding of the more than 5000-year-old Chinese culture. It offers invaluable insights into the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, according to Chinese philosophy.

We will organize traditional culture events by following the Chinese 24 solar terms, which were created thousands of years ago to guide agricultural production. But solar term culture is still useful today to guide people’s lives through special foods, cultural ceremonies and even healthy living tips that correspond with each term. By participating in these celebrations, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the customs, practices, and values that have been passed down through generations. This firsthand experience will provide you with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
