Reborn at 38 years old
Despite achieving my academic goals, I still felt confused and dissatisfied. This led me to seek answers to life’s big questions. Although the journey was painful, I eventually found happiness by opening my own tea shop, allowing me to make a living from my hobby, and pursue the study of Ancient Chinese philosophy at the same time. Through reading the classics, I found wisdom and peace, gradually becoming wiser and more peaceful myself.
When I studied I Ching, Zhuangzi and Laozi, I learned that Traditional
Chinese Medicine is a healing system that is rooted in the ancient philosophy
of Taoism. I started to read a lot of books on how to stay healthy: this didn’t only keep me from having to go to a doctor in Belgium, but also opened up a new world to me. In 2018, I decided I want to become a professional Chinese Medicine doctor, so I closed my tea shop and I started my Traditional Chinese Medicine course in the Netherlands.
And voila, after 4 years of study, I obtained my official acupuncture diploma. I have learned that Chinese Medicine is not just a lifestyle, it is a lifetime of practice! Starting off Traditional Chinese Medicine was the point of my rebirth.
