About Zhuxiang_Part I

Start from zero

at 28 years old

When I was a kid, my mom gave me a choice when I had a cold: I could either get a one-time shot, or I had to drink a bitter Chinese Medicine soup for a whole week. Surprisingly, I always chose the soup over the shot. I think my destiny with Chinese Medicine must have been forged at that time.

When I worked in Hangzhou after graduation from university, I had a chance to follow a reputable tea master to study tea, and I became a tea sommelier. Through this beautiful art I dove into traditional Chinese Taoism, Confucianism and Zen Buddhism. On the journey of searching my true self, in 2008, I left everything behind in China and came to Belgium to continue my education with a Master in Economics and a Master in Statistics.

When I lived in Belgium far away from my family, the first thing I encountered is the issue with food: like many other Chinese living abroad, I missed the food from home. So I had to start to learn to cook, and I found my favorite chefs on Youtube. Making a healthy, cheap meal from natural ingredients taught me a lot of Yin Yang characters of vegetables , herbs, fish, fruit and meat.
